encTeX on ctan

encTeX is (another) tex extension, written at the change-file level.

it provides means of translating input, on the way into tex's mouth.

the most recent version allows translation of multibyte sequences,
such as utf-8 encoding.

i have established a mirror of enctex into ctan at systems/enctex, to
aid people's evaluation of the system.
