The following information was provided by the package's contributor.

Name of contribution: mathdots
Author's name: Daniel Luecking
Location on CTAN: /macros/generic/matdots/
Summary description: Commands to produce dots in math that respect font size.
License type: lppl

Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
Redefines \ddots and \vdots, and defines \iddots. The dots produced by
\iddots slant opposite to \ddots. These commands are designed to change
size appropriately in scripts, as well as in response to LaTeX size
changing commands.

Similar improvements are made to the amsmath (or AmS-TeX) accent commands
\dddot and \ddddot.

May be used in plain TeX also.
