CTAN Update: The caption package v3.0l

On Tue, 20 Feb 2007, Axel Sommerfeldt submitted an update to the 

  caption 

package.

The caption package provides many ways to customise the captions in 
floating environments like figure and table, and cooperates with many 
other packages. Includes rotating captions, sideways captions, continued 
captions (for tables or figures that come in several parts).  A list of 
compatibility notes, for other packages, is provided in the documentation.

The package also provides the "caption outside float"  facility, in the 
same way that simpler packages like do.

This is a bugfix release of the caption package 3.0:
 
 - Minimal support of the combine package added
 - \caption at centerfirst/last renamed to \centerfirst/last
 - Proof-reading of the English documentation
 - New, yet undocumented: \DeclareCaptionTextFormat resp. "textformat="
 - Adaption to the new version 1.6 of the hypcap package
