Victor Eijkhout has generously released his book TeX by Topic, including 
the sources, under the GNU Free Documentation License (with no invariants).  
It is now available from CTAN, and the project page is at savannah: 
https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/texbytopic.

As a long-time fan of the book, I'm very happy to see this.  Thanks 
Victor!  (And thanks for letting me be your release 'droid for CTAN :)
