Asymptote (http://asymptote.sourceforge.net) is a powerful
descriptive vector
graphics language for technical drawing, inspired by
MetaPost but with an
improved C++-like syntax. Asymptote provides for figures the

high-quality level of typesetting that LaTeX does for
scientific text.
