after my days of doing nothing but adding documentation to the archive,
suddenly the daemon says:

thanks for the upload.  i've installed the files, and updated the
catalogue repository.

>   http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive//macros/latex/contrib/siunitx

the catalogue entry will chance (almost imperceptibly) overnight.
