TeXcount is a Perl script for counting words in TeX/LaTeX documents, also 
available as a web-service. TeXcount version 2.3 now comes with added language 
support including East Asian languages, customisable summary output, and 
improved handling of large documents and multi-file documents. (NB: A bug from 
2.3.beta has been fixed which was also in the version first made available 28 
July.)
