The enumerate environment now allows an extra optional argument which specifies the item number to be used to determine the maximum label width in place of the default 7.  Usage example:
\begin{enumerate}[(i)][13]
\item ...
\end{enumerate}

This updated package is backwards compatible with earlier documents.
