Japanese TeX Development Community submitted an update to the

                 platex

package.

Summary description: pLaTeX2e and miscellaneous macros for pTeX

Announcement text:

* Add exppl2e.sty . The file contains the unstable, experimental part of 
pLaTeX2e.
   * The patch for \xkanjiskip around characters with accents has been 
moved to exppl2e.sty .
   * A new patch for characters with accents in PDF bookmarks created by 
hyperref.sty: the above accents patch is not applied for the
PD1 encoding.
* From this version, platex firstly loads platex.cfg if it exists. For 
example, write ```\RequirePackage{exppl2e}``` in
~/texmf/tex/platex/config/platex.cfg, then exppl2e.sty is loaded 
everytime.
* \@begindvibox is always \yoko (horizontal) direction.
