The LuaTeX-ja project submitted an update to the

                 luatexja

package.

Summary description: Typeset Japanese with Lua(La)TeX

Bugfix: text commands such as \textquotedblleft
were typeset in a Japanese font.

To fix the bug, LuaTeX-ja now replaces internals of
\DeclareTextSymbol, and reload  tuenc.def.
This causes that \TU\textrecipe (for example)
becomes "\ltjalchar8478 ", not a chardef token.
