Summary description:  Produce song books for church or fellowship

 The “songs” package has undergone many revisions since version 2.14,
 and has now reached a new major release 3.0.
 New features include:

* New \pagepreludes page format allows one song per page,
  with page-width title centered above a multi-column song body.

* Customizable echo parts and meter numbers.

* New index-generation script is written entirely in Lua
  and can be launched via texlua. (So no more wrestling
  with autobuild or C compilers to run the indexer.)

* Improved compatibility with modern and legacy LaTeX
  environments and many other LaTeX packages.

* Many bug fixes.
