This is a new package for inserting the logo of ORCiD, which is 
hyperlinked to the URL of the researcher whose iD was specified. This 
macro is targeted at academics who author papers to journals that include 
hyperlinked ORCiD logos in their publications. This will help authors more 
closely simulate, in their preprint, the final typeset style of the 
journal.

The code for this macro originally came from an answer on TeX.SE 
(https://tex.stackexchange.com/a/445583/34063), all I did was put it in a 
.sty file, and package it up for CTAN.
